Waklert 150 Tablet is used in the treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness (narcolepsy). It improves wakefulness and helps you to stay awake.

Modanil 200 is a pharmaceutical-grade formulation of Modafinil, a eugeroic (wakefulness-promoting agent) used to treat sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and shift work sleep disorder (SWSD). It is also widely used off-label as a cognitive enhancer due to its ability to increase focus, alertness, and mental stamina.

Modanil 200 is indicated for:

• Narcolepsy – to reduce excessive daytime sleepiness

• Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) – adjunct therapy to improve wakefulness

• Shift Work Sleep Disorder (SWSD) – to help night-shift workers stay awake

• Off-label uses (under medical supervision):

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Cognitive enhancement (focus, mental clarity)

  • Fatigue due to chronic illness or depression

Modafinil acts on multiple neurotransmitter systems—mainly dopamine, norepinephrine, histamine, and orexin (hypocretin)—to stimulate the brain's wakefulness center. It differs from traditional stimulants by providing alertness without a strong euphoric "high" or rebound crash.

• Narcolepsy / OSA: 200 mg once daily in the morning

• Shift Work Disorder: 200 mg taken 1 hour before work shift begins

• Should be taken with water, with or without food

• Avoid taking late in the day to prevent insomnia

Common:

• Headache

• Insomnia

• Nausea

• Dry mouth

Rare but Serious:

• Skin rash (including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome)

• Irregular heartbeat

• Depression or agitation

• Liver function changes

• Not suitable for individuals with a history of cardiovascular problems, psychosis, or severe liver disease

• Use with caution in elderly patients

• May interact with hormonal birth control, reducing effectiveness

• Should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women without doctor consultation

• Avoid alcohol and sedatives while taking Modanil

• History of arrhythmias or severe cardiovascular disorders

• Children under 18 years of age unless advised by a specialist

• May alter effects of oral contraceptives, anti-epileptics, antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and blood thinners
